Description:
Museum showcasing the history of logging and lumbering in the Sierra Nevada is located in Calaveras County, California, in the community of White Pines near the town of Arnold on State Highway 4. The seven-acre site, owned by the Calaveras County Water District, sits on property originally occupied by a historic logging and mill workers camp associated with the Blagen Lumber Mill (1938-1962). The museum is constructed on a forested slope above White Pines Lake (elevation 4,000 feet). Parking is available nearby and the site is accessible year-round.
