Help talk:Example

From Wikidweb

Moved (copy and paste) from Sandbox for tables:

I am trying to make this page look and work like an actual listing using wikidweb as the example.

I can't make the "Title" link point to the main page without making it an external link with the little square up right arrow (external link) icon.

Ideas?

What screen resolution are you using for your minimum suggested.

> I dunno - 800 x 600? The page shrinks pretty nicely.

Then I want to clean this up and make this a sub-page under Add an entry.

I would make a new page via "Go" using http://www.wikidweb.com/wiki/Help:Contents. Paste in the code from this sandbox. And then how do I link it to the Add an entry?

To Do List

  • Need to know how to make the title link point to main page webseo 14:45, 17 Mar 2005 (PST)
  • Need to make "Categories" into a real link to categories (like in a listing)
  • Need to make "Category" be hidden in the Website Directory link (link works, but doesn't look correct)
  • Decide what minimum width to set for code view (<pre>)

>Okay, I think I nailed it. It was missing one closing quote, and I just tweaked the links.

Aerik - Read me

If you can answer the questions in the to do list above, we can link this page from the "Add an entry" page. Is that where you would want to do that?

I added the link to "link to us" from the help index page. Is that OK?

> Great - I added some comments on the talk page. I think we could link to the "link to us" page off the main page too.

Thanks for the help

Sometimes those links get tricky. I linked to the example from the "Add an entry" page.
