Category talk:Universe

From Wikidweb

I'm thinking it would be good to put a description of what we mean by a category on that category page (currently, except for Universe, we are only putting the parent category there). This would not be a hard and fast rule, but rather a guideline subject to evolution (as almost this whole project is subject to interpretation and evolution). For instance, with "People and Society" I thought it could hold all sorts of things, from personal weblogs to celebrities, and even being an appropriate secondary link for education topics like psychology and sociology. For Family and Children, I'm thinking of using it to flag anything that's particularly family friendly, as opposed to just run of the mill information. I definitely think each category page needs a description on it to describe what sort of pages fit into that category - also helps determine whether a new category needs creating for things that don't fit, or whether the category needs renaming or is a duplicate of the purpose of some other category. --Wikikiwi 23:26, 25 Oct 2006 (MDT)

Categories

I agree with the above comment. It would help. I am all for more categories not less, actually. Or more subcategories. For instance I would like to add Farmers, Farms, Food Producers, Food Security under Health whereas right now, I can only use Food and Beverages. I guess I should wander over to community portal!
